Office Renovation, Clyfford Still Museum – Denver, CO

Within the celebrated Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, this renovation reimagined staff offices to support more efficient use of space and modern ways of working. The project was carefully designed to align with the museum’s architectural language, defined by its distinctive textured cast-in-place concrete walls and ceilings.

The new layout introduces a balance of private offices, open work areas, and small huddle rooms to accommodate collaboration and flexibility. Finishes and furnishings were selected to complement the museum’s raw yet refined character, ensuring that the workspaces feel integrated into the building’s unique environment rather than imposed upon it.

By rethinking circulation, introducing adaptable spaces, and enhancing functionality, the renovation provides a contemporary workplace for museum staff that honors the integrity of the original design. The result is a quiet but transformative update — a working environment that is efficient, modern, and deeply connected to its architectural setting. This project was realized in close collaboration with Maria Cole of Studio Cole (Architect of Record), combining our firm’s architectural expertise with her thoughtful approach to design and space planning, ensuring a harmonious integration of modern workplace solutions within the museum’s iconic environment.
